Welcome to PES Kindergarten! My name is Danielle Hensley. This is my eleventh year teaching kindergarten, sixth year teaching at Patricksburg Elementary.  I live in Ellettsville and have been married to my husband, Larry, for 34 years. We have three adult children; daughter Addison (21) is a senior at Butler University, son Logan/wife Laura, son Ethan/wife Kelsey. We have our first grandson, Bix, who is 2 1/2 and a granddaughter on the way, due in December.

We love to boat, camp, hike and travel!

Homework is sent home on Mondays and due on Fridays. Homework consists of a Take Home Book (THB) that will need to be read 10 minutes each day, a math page and spelling words. Parents will need to sign the THB assuring they have read 10 minutes each day as well as math page will need to be turned in. There will be a spelling test every Friday.

Brag Tags are used a positive behavior system. Students earn Brag Tags for many things such as homework, making good choices, following lifelines. If student has 5 by end of the week, they pick out a prize. If 10, they pick a different prize. If all students in class earn 5 or more in a week, the class decides on what type of Brag Tag Party to have.
