Would you like to help encourage young students to explore different careers? If so, we have a volunteer opportunity for you!
Career Exploration (researching, evaluating, and learning) is an important long-term life-planning skill for elementary students. Students learn to use their personal interests, skills, and values, to begin exploring careers and become excited about the future.
We are looking for a variety of business employees and trade workers to volunteer to be interviewed by our Spencer-Owen's fifth graders.
Career Expo guests will be interviewed by rotating groups of 5-6 students. Students will be responsible for gathering information in a conversational style. No presentation is required of our Expo volunteers. The students will be on a mission to find out about your work, education, interests, and what impacted you as a child that may have influenced your career.
You are welcome to bring anything related to your work that you could show students, such as information, photos, or tangible objects.
