Local Medal of Honor recipient Sammy L. Davis and his wife, Dixie, spoke to OVHS students today about his experiences in Vietnam. Students also learned about what life was like for Vietnam veterans when they returned home from war.
The couple also answered questions about life in the military and encouraged students “not to settle” and that “you don’t lose until you quit trying.”
What an honor it was for our students to learn valuable life lessons from Sammy and Dixie!
