Did you know that March is Disability Awareness month?
The OVHS Patriot Pals Club seeks to promote, support, and bring awareness to the school about individuals with disabilities. Each year, they pick a week in March and ask students and staff to wear specific colors that represent disabilities. The club also has activities during lunches to promote awareness. There is a trivia question each day on the morning announcements, with the first individual with the correct answer winning a prize. The Patriot Pals also support a competition between classes for collecting Aluminum Can Tabs, which are given to the Ronald McDonald House. This year, OVHS collected 45 pounds of tabs!
