Our S-OCS fifth graders had an incredible opportunity to explore the wide world of careers during our Annual Fifth Grade Career Expo! Early exposure to different career paths helps spark curiosity, broaden horizons, and inspire students to dream big about their futures.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to the 34 amazing community volunteers who shared their time, knowledge, and passion with our students. Their dedication to guiding the next generation is truly appreciated.
From explaining the training required for your careers to discussing the importance of soft skills like teamwork, communication, and problem-solving, they made a lasting impact on these young minds.
Special thanks goes to the OVHS JAG students for helping students transition from station to station and for keeping us on schedule. Steve and Deanna Stickels also volunteered their time to welcome our guests into the building and check them in for the event.
Events like this remind us how important it is to nurture curiosity and build confidence in our students as they begin to think about their future. Together, we’re equipping them with the tools they need to succeed—both in school and in life.
